Group Classes —
Gentle Support In Motion
Discovering what feels easier, steadier and more alive in you.
Gentle guided movement to support nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, mobility, and vitality.
These mat-based Feldenkrais® and somatic movement classes offer more than exercise, flexibility or posture. They gently teach you how to feel — with clarity, curiosity and compassion.
In class, you’re not trying to “get it right,” nor pushing or performing. You’re invited to listen to your body, move with support rather than tension, and meet yourself with care.
Through this somatic pathway, movement becomes a way to calm the nervous system, restore vitality and inhabit your body with greater ease and self-acceptance.

-
These are gentle, guided awareness-through-movement lessons grounded in Feldenkrais® principles and somatic practice and nervous system support.
Rather than exercising or stretching, you’re guided to explore small, comfortable movements with attention and breath. The emphasis is on learning from sensation, not effort.
-
You’ll be guided verbally through slow, simple movements — mostly lying on the floor, sometimes sitting or standing.
There’s no demonstration to copy and no expectation to move in any particular way. You’re encouraged to:
move within an easy, comfortable range
pause or rest whenever you need
follow your own pacing and breathing
-
By moving slowly, gently, and with choice, your nervous system has space to settle and reorganise.
Over time, this can support greater steadiness, resilience and ease — both in movement and in daily life.Changes often arrive subtly, through increased comfort, awareness and coordination rather than force or effort.
-
These classes are not fitness-based or performance-oriented.
There is no pushing, stretching through pain or striving to achieve a result. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body and work within what feels supportive for you.
-
Classes are suitable for a wide range of bodies and experiences — including people who feel stressed, tired, sore or disconnected from their body.
No prior experience with Feldenkrais®, somatics or mindful movement is needed.
Classes FAQs
If you’re new to this work or booking your first class, these FAQs may help you feel at ease and informed before we begin.
-
Classes weave gentle movement, attention, breath, and nervous system support. The focus is on comfort, ease and awareness rather than stretching, strengthening, or “working hard.”
Unlike yoga or Pilates, the emphasis here is on how you move and sense rather than achieving shapes, poses or repetitions. -
Classes offer general guidance within a group setting. Private sessions provide individualised, hands-on support and are tailored specifically to your needs.
-
Classes are mat-based, primarily in lying. As such you will need to be able to get on and off the floor independently. You’re welcome to use a chair/stool to assist you, available in studio.
-
Both options are available. Many people like to start with a single class to get a feel for the practice. Regular attendance or a series supports deeper learning, easier movement and nervous system regulation over time.
-
That’s not a reason to stay away. Classes are designed to meet you where you are, with options to rest, move less, or simply observe. Most people find they feel better after attending.
If you’re unsure, check in with me before class so we can find what best supports you. -
